For over 30 years, I've been doing what most trainers won't — working with adults who have real injuries, real limitations, and real life happening all around them. I'm Tara Russo, ACE Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist based in Denville, NJ. I specialize in two things: helping adults recover and rebuild after injury or physical therapy, and keeping active adults strong enough to stay independent, capable, and confident — without getting hurt. My clients are men and women between 45 and 90. Some come to me straight from physical therapy, ready to keep building strength but not sure how. Others come because they want to stay strong, move well, and feel their best for the long haul — on their own terms. What they all have in common is that they don't want to slow down, and they shouldn't have to. I bridge the gap between physical therapy and independent strength. That means I understand your injuries, I work around your limitations, and I build programs designed specifically for your body — not a generic plan copied from someone half your age. I've worked extensively with clients managing conditions including hypertension, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, cervical strain, lumbar herniation, rotator cuff tears, knee and hip replacements, and more. A majority of my clients come referred by doctors, physical therapists, and chiropractors who trust me to continue their patients' progress safely. My areas of expertise include post-rehabilitation fitness, corrective exercise, core conditioning, functional and balance training, addressing muscle imbalances in older adults, dynamic stretching, foam roller training, nutrition for health and performance, and effective strength training for every fitness level. In addition to my work with clients, I have been recognized as a fitness expert and have contributed articles to local publications. I stay on the cutting edge of industry education and bring that knowledge directly into every session.
